Provident Films Logo Reveal

This was a project done along with Edwards Creative in Nashville, TN. The brief was to create a 3D animated logo reveal for the new branding at Provident Films. I designed 3 different looks for them. Initially they chose a particle dissolve, but ended up on a more simple animation. Recently, I did a refresh for them based on their new logo.

This is the finished product.
As I was exploring ideas for an updated animation, I drew this in Adobe Fresco. The idea was to have the paint strokes pass through the ichthus and a cross on its way to the P to give some symbolism to the reveal as Provident Films produces faith-based content. In the end, the client knew exactly what they wanted and provided direction for the final animation.
The initial direction included giving the P a bit of a translucent look, so these frames reflect that. 
In the end, I like the red throughout.

This is an early animation of the "Particles" version. Revisiting this, I would add many more particles to give the dissolve more impact.
